Nukabira Gensen Township Ski Area

Around Nukahira Lake, there are scattered concrete arch bridges with abandoned lines, such as the Fifth Otonara River Bridge, whose bridge length exceeds 100m, and the Tašubetu River Bridge, a phantom bridge that will appear when the lake level drops in January-May. The view, with the bridge and nature in harmony, is stunning.

The Japanese National Railways Shihoro Line, which was opened from Obihiro to Tokatsu Sankō, was abolished in 1987. The history of the residents carved in the Shihoro Line and the long and harsh northern railway, which displays a number of tools actually used. Also set up a photo panel that showcased various episodes. On the large TV screen, you can enjoy the observation video of the driver's platform for each section. A walking path of about 8.5km from Kamishihoro-cho Railway Museum through the shores of Lake Nukahira to Metsep in the direction of Sankata. It is a walking path using the former Japanese National Railways Shihoro Line, also known as a mountain railway, and is a nature-rich walking path that can be reached across concrete arch bridges such as the Nukahira River Bridge and the Sanno Sawa Bridge. There is also a point on the way where you can tour the bridge of the Taushbetsu River, which is also known as a phantom bridge.
