Shirakami Mountains Visitor Center

A general campground at the entrance to the Shirakami Mountains; in addition to cottages and auto campgrounds, the center house includes a bathing facility, "Kun-no-Yu", a restaurant, and a concession stand (such as souvenir items).

The specialty retail store offers a large selection of wild plants, mushrooms, apples, etc. that can be picked up every season. The local sake "Yamasuke" from the village of Nishimeya and the tofu made from the specialty soybeans have many fans. At the restaurant, you can taste "Shirakami Twari Soba", which uses a specialty of buckwheat flour, and "Tsugaru Dam Curry", which is an expression of Tsugaru Dam. In addition, honey is produced on the roof of the Amisa Kobo, a food processing center located in the facility, and you can eat it for free on handmade Italian gelato and vanilla soft ice cream made by the facility.
