Sixteen Rahan
There are 21 stone Buddhas with round-carved andesite in the arhan park, which is formed on the site of the burned-out Sōryū temple, south of the Morioka Hachiman-gū. Sixteen bodies of arhan and five bodies of Gochi Nyorai line up in the shape of a co. It was built in Kaei 2 (1849) to feed those who died in the Great Famine, such as Tenmei, Tenpo and others during the late Edo period.
