Kunimi SA [down]

SA, located near the Kunimitsu Pass on the prefectural border between Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures. Be careful because it is a form of entering the SA from the climbing lane uphill. The concept is "the liveliness of the four seasons". Kunimi is a place that once flourished as an inn town, and the concession stand is an image of a teahouse where the travelers of the time healed their tiredness. Since it is at the entrance from the six Tohoku prefectures, it offers souvenirs and local menus from all over the Tohoku region, creating memorable moments. A "walk-in gate" (pedestrian doorway) has been installed, and the facility is also available from a general road.

A roadside station located along National Route 4, close to the prefectural border between Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures. Among the vast facilities, which are full of locally grown wood, there is a restaurant where you can taste the "Kunimi Burger", a local burger with boiled mackerel miso in bread, and a direct sale area where you can find fruits and vegetables, including specialty peaches. The kids area, where you can play with toys full of warmth of wood, is available for free entry. "Atsukashi" was named after the town symbol "Atsugashiyama".

Bunji 5 (1189) In August, a defensive position built by the Hiraizumi forces during the Battle of Oshu to pick up the Kamakura forces led by Minamoto no Yoritomo. It built an earthworks and moat spanning about 3.2km from the middle of Mount Atsugashi to the old river channel of the Abukuma River, which it locally calls a double moat (Futabori). Nearby, you can see the dormant pine, which is said to have been rested by Gensuke, and the stone stone mountain in the south related to Benkei. In the paddy field in the Shimo-Futabori district, Ren Chusonji blooms beautiful flowers near the base.
