Shirakawa Flower World

It is said to be the oldest park in Japan built by the feudal lord Sadanobu Matsudaira in the first year of Kyowa (1801). Pine, maple, and cherry blossoms are planted on the lakeside of the country-designated historic site, Meishatsu "Nanko Park", and the beautiful figure can be seen in the four seasons. In the park, there is a specialty Nanko Dango shop, Nanko Shrine, which is over 100 years old, and a Japanese garden, Suirakuen, where you can enjoy Shicha, which can be enjoyed by children and the elderly.

Located in the southernmost part of Fukushima Prefecture, the last parking area on the return trip to Tokyo, Michinoku, Tōhoku. It is located about 7.6km from the Yabuki IC, with a distance of about 2.6km to the next Shirakawa Chuo Smart IC and about 9km to the Shirakawa IC. The facility is a toilet and vending machine only, but it is located in the lush mountains, and the scenery of fresh green in spring and autumn leaves will heal the fatigue of driving.

A parking area located between the Shirakawa IC and the Yabuki IC on the Tohoku Expressway. It is located about 9km from the Shirakawa IC, and there is also the Shirakawa Chuo Smart IC on the way. Located in the mountains, the environment is outstanding. The scenery of spring, summer, autumn and winter will heal the fatigue of the trip. Within the area is the Oku no Hosomichi, the "Three Hundred Years from Basho's Journey" monument, and you want to refresh your driving fatigue on the way of your Tohoku journey.
