Mount Takao
Mount Takao is a mountain at an altitude of 599m located within the Meiji Forest Takao National Park and the Tokyo Metropolitan Takao Camping Natural Park. In the mountains of the mountain, where the anecdote of Tengu is inhabited, there are scattered temples of the "Takaoyama Yakuoin Yuki-ji", which was opened by the priest Gyoki during the Nara period, serving the Inawa Daigyo. It is also known today as a mountain where Yamabushi serves as a place of training, as it is regarded as a sacred mountain of Shugendo since ancient times. Cable cars and lifts are built on the mountainside, and there are many hiking trails, such as Biwa Falls and Tengu's Cagrow Cedar. From the Takao summit observation deck, the view of Mount Fuji and the skyscrapers in the city center is also outstanding.
