
Prince-do (Mare-do)
A road of about 20km from the Madarakidamiya, which is said to have been passed by Prince Shōtoku, to the Ofukudamiya (Oharidanomiya). Kawanishi-cho, Miyake-cho, and Tawaramoto-honmachi, and are also known as myokado because they run diagonally through the Nara basin. There is also a theory that the shortcut created by Emperor Suiko for the Prince, and there are numerous legendary spots along the road, such as Hakusan Shrine, where the perched stone that the Prince took a breather along the way, and Kizuki Shrine, where the painting of the Prince is transmitted. It is also developed as a hiking course called "Prince Road and Isojo no Sato", and you can enjoy a walk of about 5 hours, including the mountain tombs on the island.
