
Tadotsu Municipal Museum
The town of Tadotsu was used to cultivate rice from the Yayoi period, and in the Middle Ages the Kagawa clan ruled the Nishisan district as its home base. In the year of Genko 7 (1694) Tadotsu Domain was born with Kyōkō Takadō as the first feudal lord. Tenpo 9 (1696) Since the foundation of Tadotsu Port was laid during the time of the 5th feudal lord Takaku, it has flourished as a port of call for Kitamae and a ship-site for Kinhira-sari. It introduces the history of the town, which flourished as the birthplace of modern industry and as the gateway of Shikoku since the Meiji era.
