Roadside station located in the southern Osumi Peninsula. The Hanase River, which flows gently over cobblestones that span about 2km, is dotted with fishing and campsites, somen sinks and tourist plantations in the surrounding area.

There are seven waterfalls, large and small, in the Kanno River that flows through the middle west of the Okuma Peninsula, but the must-see is Kamikawa Otaki, located in Kamikawa Otaki Park.
