The foundation corporation, Wabi Ainosato, Anti-War Peace Museum, was established to popularize non-violent peace ideas by the late Awane Masafong, who has devoted his life to making peace. The famous Okinawan play, "Iejima Handu Small [Guupo]". The facility was built on the site of Shimamuraya's residence, which was the setting for it. This story is a story about the sad love of the beautiful woman Handu, and is counted as one of the three major Okinawan tragedy stories. The statue of Handu small standing in the park is impressive. In the folk museum where the private houses of Shimamuraya have been restored, farm tools, fishing tools, and living folk implements are displayed, so you can get to know the lives of former islanders.
