Seongshan Park

Founded in Bunsei 2 (1819). It sells handmade amudokan made by the old-fashioned method, using a selection of red beans from Hokkaido. Mizukan costs 5 bottles from 970 yen, and Yushana yokan costs from 5 bottles from 720 yen. If you stay at Higashiyama Onsen, it is a classic for locals to buy a yokan from the Matsumoto family and go home.

The grave of Isamu Kondo stands in the name of Shinseigumi's efforts to take over Ichichinaka under the guardian of Kyoto, Japan. It is said that his remains and bones are stored in the grave. It was built by the Aizu clan, by Tozo Hijikata, who wished the feudal lord, Koho. A memorial monument with Hijikata's command name stands next to it.

A stretch of Mt. Oshita at an altitude of 410m is the site of Miharu Castle. In the first year of Eishō (1504), it is said to have been built by the Sengoku daimyōda Yoshiaki [Yoshiaki]. During the Edo period, it became the residence of the Akita clan of the Miharu Domain, but the building was demolished after the Meiji Restoration. The Honmaru remains as a park. The front gate of the former Sanchun Domain Shinsho was relocated down the park, and is now used as the school gate of Sanchun Elementary School.
