Minami-Onuma City, known for its rice and sake spots. "OHGIYA CAFE" is a cafe located in the former Shiozawa-juku on Mikuni Kaido, which was once a busy link between Edo and Echigo. It faces Makinono-dori, which is lined with geese and quaint merchant houses that are unique to the snowy country, and the inside of the store is woody and warm with ceilings and pillars that are bare with thick beams. Directly managed by Kuramoto and Aoki Sake Brewery since the Edo period, OHGIYA blended coffee, a drink using sake lees, and domestic wheat blended rice flour, sake rice flour and soy milk from Shiozawa, healthy waffles baked without butter are particularly recommended.

A 200-year-old old zelkova-built old private house near Yundong-an. There's a hearth, a small rise, and so on, and it's cozy. On the menu, you can enjoy simple handmade country dishes, cold soba noodles with thawed water, steaming, ayu, and salted char. Among them, the home rice Koshihikari from Minamiouma Shiozawa is an exquisite product. We also recommend Kirizai-don, which is a B-class gourmet in Minamioonuma that uses home rice Koshihikari.

The story is rich in Niigata Sado. Shari is a blend of good quality Koshihikari and Koshiibuki from pesticide reduction and chemical reduction fertilizer cultivation, which is made to give just the right consistency. You can taste sushi that has been carefully worked on how to prepare and grip so that the shari and material can be loosened moderately when you put it in your mouth.
