Kyo-koan

On the way from Marugame Station to the north for the Taisuke Lanterns, there is a tea room called "Kyokoku-an", where Japanese culture has been quietly breathed since 140 years ago, on a path that you would never normally enter.
Inside Kyokoku-an is a garden of mountain villages, a shoto-an of Rikyu's favorite, and a miracle space awaits where you can experience Marugame's culture at hand.
You can also see the "Four-Eye Shogi-dan", a heirloom of the Kyokō family.
