Amagasaki Castle was built in 1617 in the early Edo period and symbolizes the history of Amagasaki, which developed as a key hub for transportation and logistics.
Built to defend western Osaka, it flourished together with the castle town and played an important role as a hub where many people and cultures came and went.
Although the castle was abandoned and dismantled following the Castle Abolition Order, the main keep was reconstructed in 2019.
Today, the castle features exhibitions that clearly introduce the history and culture of Amagasaki, along with hands-on content and an observation space, allowing visitors of all ages to learn while having fun.
