Tsuwano Bon Dance Competition

A grand festival in the spring to pray for a good harvest and a thriving business. At ten o'clock, the main shrine festival is held. Following Miyaji's congratulation, a prayer festival is held for attendees, and a dance of Yukyu by the priestess is dedicated. After the gold-minted event, all the attendees will be paid for a prayer. The shrine, which is listed among the five major inari in Japan and where rice is written as "nari", is unusual, with the intention of fulfillment of aspiration. In order to comfort the spirits of the Christian martyrs, the festival has been held since 1952, the year after Father Paulo Nabel of the Tsuwano Catholic Church erected the Cathedral of Maria Otome Pass. A pilgrimage procession of devotees centering on the statue of the Virgin Mary continues, aiming for the Basilica of Maria Otojo from Tsuwano Catholic Church in Tonomachi. The ancient style of Yukimai Ogasawara-ryu's Ryūkama Shrine, performed at Ryūkō-maba, the only original form in Japan, with a total length of 270m, was created in the Yoshimi period by imitating the Baba of Kamakura Tsuruoka Hachiman-miya.
