Yasaku Festival

Praying for a year's disease-free disaster, the more than 200 young people who cross the Shobu Mikoshi [Shobu Mikoshi] depart from Yakouin Onsen, and the Shobu Mikoshi walk around the town of Yutou in a courageous way. The bales containing the irises are frayed and scattered on the street, and in the finale, the irises are thrown into the bathtub of Koso-yu. It is said that the best bathers can escape the calamity of the year. The scent of irises, which has been handed down since ancient times, spreads throughout the city. * The contents may be changed or canceled depending on the situation.

In keeping with the hometown of the folk song "Yamanaka-bushi," a grand tapestry of song and dance unfolds, with many dancers joined by visitors. During the day, lively shouts can be heard as the procession of the elderly mikoshi, young men's mikoshi, large lion mikoshi, bowl mikoshi, and koi koi mikoshi takes place. The hot spring town has traffic regulations, and a free shuttle bus runs from the Kenmin Gymnasium parking lot.
