Chestnut park plum festival

The trees in the public space are adorned with 30,000 blue-white glowing LED lights, creating a fantastical atmosphere. This will be the first illumination since the campus relocated in April 2025. During the period, the general public can freely view the displays. At the lighting ceremony on the Takamatsu Station campus, events such as dance performances by students will be showcased for enjoyment by both the campus community and visitors.

The "Sanuki Takamatsu Festival" is the largest festival in Takamatsu City, held every mid-August. Various stage events can be enjoyed, and numerous food stalls are set up. On the second day, the fireworks festival "Dondon Takamatsu" features fireworks launched from the Tamamo Breakwater at Takamatsu Port. About 6,000 fireworks, including a maximum of 8-inch shells, light up the midsummer night sky with colorful displays. On the final day, a grand dance called "Kimai Warai" takes place on the stone stage at Sunport Takamatsu Multipurpose Square, overflowing with excitement and grandeur over the three days.

The fireworks festival that elevates the "Sanuki Takamatsu Festival," one of the four major festivals in Shikoku, to its peak. A shower of light descends upon the Takamatsu waterfront, the gateway to Shikoku. The fireworks are launched without a moment's pause, changing their sparkling expressions, captivating the audience. This time, due to renovations at Central Park, the main venue will be Anabuki Arena Kagawa and Sunport Takamatsu "Multipurpose Square."
