Kakukan fire-shaking house

At the Hikinai River Tsutsumi, which serves as the venue for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Kakukan, the Yoshino cherry tree blooms for about 2km, and it is a dainty bloom from mid to late April along with the weeping zakura that blooms gracefully on the samurai residence street. Both Yoshino and Sidare Zakura in Kakukan have been selected as "100 Sakura Famous Places", so it is recommended to take a walk while feeling the history of cherry blossoms. At the Cherry Blossom Festival, you can enjoy non-flower viewing such as local performing arts, various events, and store openings, and you can also light up at night, so you can watch fantastic and glossy cherry blossoms that are different from the day's glitz. A snow festival held at the "Tazawa Lake Ski Area" with a view of Lake Tazawa. Various events such as the "Juice-Bowl Grand Prix" and paper balloon lifting to decide one cup of this winter will be held (planned). Fireworks are also launched on Saturday, February 15. The "Hōkaeri Valley," known as "Yabakei of Tōhoku," is a 10 km long valley that continues through the middle reaches of the Tamagawa River flowing between Lake Tazawa and Kakunodate. The area, along with Lake Tazawa, forms the nature-rich "Tazawako Hōkaeri Prefectural Natural Park," which is famous for its autumn foliage. During the festival period, events are held, including a safety prayer ceremony, tea ceremonies, and local performing arts. The shared transportation service "Yobunoru Kakunodate" is convenient from JR Kakunodate Station, and the reservation-based jumbo taxi "Hōkaeri-go" is available from JR Tazawako Station.
