There are also many nature and scenic spots, and there are many popular spots such as Lake Tazawa, a mysterious lake that boasts one of the largest depths in Japan filled with cobalt blue water, the Shirakami Mountains, which has been recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site, and the famous spot of autumn leaves, Koyasu Gorge, in Akita Prefecture. A walk around the samurai residence in Kakukan, a small Kyoto city in Michinoku, also sees cherry blossoms in the spring, and it is very popular to visit the hot water in the teat hot spring town and the Hachimantai hot spring town. In addition, the sunset over the Sea of Japan from the Oga Peninsula, famous for Namahage, is truly beautiful and must-see.
