Fukui

City Overview

The beauty of the coast, such as the Higashikabō and the Echizen coast, where the cliffs continue, and the Mikata Five Lakes, which have five lakes, is attractive. There are many venerable temples and shrines such as Eiheiji Temple and the ancient temple of Obama. I also enjoy fresh seafood such as Echizen crab. Also famous is the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, one of the largest museums in the country, which focuses on materials about dinosaurs. There are 44 dinosaur whole body skeletons, large restored dioramas and images, and popular spots where you can enjoy and learn from children to adults.
