The Striking Power of the Red Rock Face

Stretching for approximately 1 kilometer along the western coast of Chiburijima Island, Sekiheki (Red Cliff) is a massive sea cliff carved by the relentless waves of the Sea of Japan. The rugged, reddish-brown rock face transforms in appearance throughout the day, reflecting the ever-changing light. At sunset, the dramatic contrast between the deep blue sea and the glowing red cliffs creates an unforgettable and breathtaking scene.
