●Fortune-telling at ”Kagami no Ike” in Yaegaki Jinja

Yaegaki Shrine is known along with Izumo Taisha Shrine. It is said that the famous extermination of the Yagi Orochi (Yamata no Orochi) and the place where the husband and wife of Inada Hime (Inada Hime no Miko) began their married life. It is known for bums such as prosperity of offspring.

If you visit the god of the matchmaking at the Haiden, you will get the dedicated Kagami no Ike divination paper (100 yen) of at the awarding hall of the shrine, and it is courtesy to take the paper in order from the top.

2. Visit to Amakagami Jinja

Walk from Haiden to the "Oku no in Sakusame no mori", from which you will arrive at the "Kagami no Ike" in about a minute; and worship at a small shrine (Amakagami jinja) dedicated to Inatahimenomikoto, nestled in the mirror pond.

"Enkiri bako" is set up next to Haiden. Please make a wish. After praying, break the wooden bills, breathe on the bills where is written connection tnat you want to cut, and put them in the box. The bills that have written the connection you want to tie are at hand.

3. Walk clockwise around Honden, visit the shrine

Take a wooden tag with the connection you want to tie and walk clockwise. Note that counterclockwise would be a prayer to return connection.
