Sagata (Sagata Park)

A popular winery located at the foot of Mount Kakuda along the Sea of Japan. The beautiful garden, filled with greenery, is in full bloom with roses by late May. Within the premises, there are unique shops selling a wide variety of original wines and wine goods, a restaurant called Curved Ditch where you can enjoy French cuisine, a restaurant called Maki Goya where you can enjoy homemade sausages and local beer, and a gelato shop directly operated by a dairy farmer. There is also a wine cellar tour (paid) that can be experienced by reservation only. Additionally, there is a place called Koteakote that mainly sells homemade products such as day-use hot springs, two accommodation facilities, natural yeast bread, and ham. A historic swimming beach that has been around since the Taisho era. It is one of the largest in the prefecture, with sea houses, guest houses and campsites. The remote beach is popular with families. It is also known as a scenic spot, and you can enjoy views from sunsets and lighthouses on Sadogas Island.
