Mermaid Beach

It is one of the Kokubunji temples that were erected in the countries by Emperor Shōmu's royal service, and only the Shakado, built in the year of Gyeongsang 15 (1610), is extant, and the main temple, etc., is a state-designated historical site of the wooden statue of Nyorai (an important cultural monument), is laid to rest.

A drive course of about 10km that runs from the base of the Uchitomi [Uchitomi] Peninsula to the summit of Mount Kusuyagatake while overlooking the city. The observation deck, which is set at an altitude of 600m, has a spectacular panorama, and if the weather permits, you can see Cape Echizen to the northeast and the Tango Peninsula to the west. At dusk, you can see a beautiful scene where the sun sets and the sea surface is dyed in red. There are places where the slope is tight, so be careful with too much speed.

A seafood market selling locally caught seafood. Ten fish shops line the street, showcasing exceptionally fresh seafood. There is also the joy of feeling the seasons through the fish on display. At the end of the year, it becomes so bustling with New Year's shoppers that you can hardly walk.
