Aikawa Waterfront Park

A place associated with the wise general of the Sengoku period, Takenaka Hanbei. The ruins of the encampment built by Shigemoto, the legitimate son of the renowned strategist Takenaka Hanbei, who served Toyotomi Hideyoshi and participated in the Battle of Sekigahara. The white-walled main gate, stone walls, and part of the moat remain.

Nangu Shrine located in Tarui Town. It enshrines Kanayamahiko no Okami as the main deity and is known as the head shrine for mining and metal industries. It has long been revered as the first shrine in Mino, receiving great respect from figures like Minamoto no Yoritomo, but was burned down during the Battle of Sekigahara. The current shrine building was rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in the 19th year of the Kan'ei era (1642). The grand style of the shrine, surrounded by ancient cedar trees, is unique. In front of the important cultural properties Ishiwabashi and Gekohashi, the main gate (important cultural property) and the high dance hall (important cultural property) are lined up vertically, consisting of 18 buildings including the corridor (important cultural property). Additionally, a Shikinen Sengu (periodic shrine transfer) is held every 51 years.
