Byodo-in Museum Fengxiangkan

A short walk from JR Uji Station, a patisserie along the old Nara Kaido. A pastry chef who took over the locally loved store for many years wields his arms. There are many sweets such as macaroons, roll cakes, baked goods, and many are filled with matcha like Uji. Among them, the adult flavor "Terrine Chocolat" is an elegant flavor with plenty of fine cacao, and its varied lineup with the addition of matcha and hojicha is popular.

宇治の平等院の表参道に趣のある店舗を構える和菓子店。享保2年(1717)創業。嘉永6年(1853)、御室御所(現・仁和寺)から江戸時代の書記官の位・掾を賜ったという由緒ある老舗の和菓子店だ。昔ながらの製法で作られた宇治らしい和菓子が揃うが、なかでも人気なのは「茶のだんご(茶だんご)」。まろやかな甘さと抹茶の風味が感じられておいしいと評判だ。
