Furatto Miyama (Kansai Wide Area Union)

A popular workshop for sausage and bacon products made using local ingredients and selected ingredients, sticking to no additives. A woody cafe is also available, and original menus such as assorted sausages 1400 yen and bacon sand 760 yen are recommended. Miyama milk soft ice cream is also popular.

A roadside station located in Miyama-cho, where many thatched houses remain. On the site, there are facilities related to the lives of local residents, as well as the "Kyoto Forest Information Center", which provides information on experiences and tourist destinations, and the "Furatto Miyama", which sells specialty products and vegetables. Fresh vegetables grown in the highland climate are popular in the mountains, and they sell out in the morning. There are plenty of handmade dishes such as "beautiful rice" and miso and prepared foods made only in the Hiraya area of Miyama-cho. There is also a processing plant for Miyama milk, and the soft ice cream and gelato from the attached "Miyama no Megumi Milk Studio" are reputed to enjoy the rich taste of milk.

Ono Dam A park full of nature using the shore of the lake. It is known as one of the leading cherry blossom spots in the prefecture, and is visited by many people during the time of flower viewing. The Ono Dam Sakura Festival is also held in April every year, and during the holding period, street stalls and gourmet shops selling regional specialty products are also opened. In addition to large wooden play equipment in the square covered with natural turf, there are also athletic with tarzan ropes and nets. You can also enjoy walking, putter golf and ground golf around the dam lake.
