Day-trip bathing is enjoyed at the "Settsu Gorge Hananosato Onsen Sansuikan" inn in the upper Settsu Gorge, where the mountains and clear streams are woven. There are two types of large bathhouses that draw two types of home-sourced hot springs: "Oiwami-bath" with natural rock formations as high as 8m, and "Hananoyu" with a jacuzzi. The outdoor baths looking out over the valley are also well received, and it is nice to have a sense of unity with nature. A private bath that can take a private bath and a plan with lunch are also recommended.

Settsu Gorge is located in the middle and upper reaches of Akutagawa and is said to be one of the best scenic spots in the Hokusetsu area of Osaka. The park, which has been maintained along its roughly 4km stretch of valley, is vast, with an area of about 430,000 square meters. In the park, there are nature trails around strange rocks such as goers and octatatami rocks, cliffs, and highlights such as Shirataki. It is also known as a spot of cherry blossoms, and about 3000 cherry blossoms bloom in the spring at the top of the cherry blossom square with playground equipment. "Sakura Festival" is also held. It is also equipped with facilities such as youth campgrounds and an open-air theater, and includes mountain stream fishing, as well as early summer firefly hunting, summer river playing, autumn red leaf hunting and fun.

In the valley leading to the upper reaches of Akutagawa, cliffs, rock formations and waterfalls are continuous, and the landscape is wonderful. The road along the valley is a hiking trail, with cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn. Also known as a cherry blossom spot, there are about 230 cherry trees on the cherry blossom square in the adjacent Settsukyo Park, which is crowded with many flower visitors in the spring. There is also a hot spring inn nearby.
