Yamazaki Shop Jabara-ya

Doro Hachijo (Special Scenic Spot and Natural Monument) refers to the approximately 1.2 km gorge from Tamaki-guchi in Kumano River Town to Tado in Yoshino County, Nara Prefecture. In spring, the mountain cherry blossoms, in early summer, the azaleas and rhododendrons shine against the fresh greenery, and in late autumn, the autumn leaves are beautiful. The cliffs rise to heights of 40-50 m, starting from the Dōtenmon near Tamaki-guchi. Unique rocks such as the couple rocks and the Byobugaki Rock, which is 20 m high and 87 m wide, and the Tenchuu Rock, which is 45 m high, appear one after another. There are also caves like the cold spring cave with a depth of 42 m and the dragon spring cave formed in a rock crevice, showcasing the stunning beauty of the varied gorge. For gorge exploration, water jet boats are used from Tamaki-guchi or downstream Shiko. The boats stop at Tado boat landing, view the Shishi Rock at the upper Doro entrance, and then turn back.

A collective term for the gorge of the Kitayama River, a tributary of the Kumano River, spanning Wakayama, Mie, and Nara prefectures, divided into lower Doro, upper Doro, and inner Doro. The beauty of the scenery is most prominent in lower Doro, which is designated as a special scenic spot and natural monument. The autumn leaves add color to the gorge's scenery, enhancing its beauty.

The hot spring bubbling up in the facility surrounded by greenery is a rare pale milky white water in the Kii Peninsula. The open-air bath faces the forest and has a rich natural atmosphere. The large public bath also features a herbal bath using the Ten Dai Uyak associated with the legend of Jofuku.
