A shrine dedicated to General Nogi Maresuke, who committed ritual suicide following the death of Emperor Meiji, and his wife. The grounds feature a restored house where General Nogi lived from ages 10 to 16, as well as a treasure hall that houses statues of the couple and their relics.

Built to commemorate 90 years after the death of Shinsaku Takasugi, the ceramic statue of Bizao ware is built to look at the Kanmon Strait, and it is also known as a cherry blossom spot. It can be reached nearby by car, but when you climb a long and steep staircase to look at it, you will be impressed.
