"Mountopia Besshi" is a theme park utilizing the site of the Besshi Copper Mine, which produced copper for about 280 years from the Edo period. It consists of the Handobara Zone, where the last mining headquarters was located, and the Higashi-daira Zone, which was the base during its peak. The center of the Handobara Zone features the main building standing on the site of the former mining headquarters. Inside, there are a day-use hot spring "Besshi Onsen - Sky's Bath -", a kids' park, a restaurant, and it is also registered as a roadside station "Mountopia Besshi". The mine sightseeing train departs from the Handobara Station on the second floor of the main building, and there are also recommended tourist tunnels where visitors can learn about the work done at the Besshi Copper Mine while having fun, as well as a gold panning experience area.

The large bath at Panas features a variety of unique baths, including walking baths, thermarium, far-infrared saunas, barrel baths, and Shigaraki baths.
