South inner section

The national special historic site "Yoshinogari Ruins" is a park that has restored and developed the largest scale moated settlement from the Yayoi period. Spanning across Kanzaki City and Yoshinogari Town, numerous pit dwelling sites, elevated storehouse remains, and jar coffin graves have been restored, creating a landscape reminiscent of the Yamatai Kingdom described in the "Records of Wei." The areas open for viewing include the southern inner enclosure, northern inner enclosure, storehouse and market, northern burial mound, and exhibition room. Visitors are amazed by the scale, featuring a lookout tower over 10 meters tall and a massive main shrine built with 16 pillars measuring 40 to 50 cm in diameter. The park also hosts experiential programs such as "making magatama" and is equipped with playgrounds and grassy areas.

It is located within the moated settlement zone of Yoshinogari Historical Park. It was considered the most important and sacred place in Yoshinogari, surrounded by double castle fences (earthen mounds and palisades) and moats. It is believed that the ruling class of the time conducted ritual ceremonies and politics there.

A day-use hot spring facility themed around "tea," featuring spacious outdoor baths and indoor baths, as well as family baths with Japanese-style resting rooms and stone saunas. It also includes a barbecue area and a ground golf course.
