Small Price Island Guided Tour

A guided tour that touches on the history and nature of Nozaki Island, one of the islands in Ojika Town. From Nozaki Port, explore the almost uninhabited island with a guide, visiting the Nozaki settlement ruins, the priest's residence, the Nokubi settlement ruins, the Nozaki Island Nature School Village, and the former Nokubi Church, which are part of the World Heritage Site "Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region." The tour takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes and requires advance reservations at least 7 days in advance for groups of 2 to 10 people. There is also a "Funamori Trekking" that involves walking along a rural path to the Funamori settlement ruins at the southern tip of the island, and a "Oeishi Trekking" that visits the Okinoshima Shrine and Oeishi in the northern part of the island, available from October to June.

One of the constituent assets of the World Cultural Heritage "Hidden Christian Related Heritage of Nagasaki and the Amakusa Region". Nozaki Island at the northern end of the Gōjima Islands is an island that belonged to the Hirado Domain during the Edo period. A hundred or so people from the open sea area of Omura Domain were settled in the late Edo period, but many of them were hidden Christians. The faith continued secretly in two settlements in the central part of the island, in the central part of the island, and in the southern part of Funamori, and in the third year of the first year (1866), the year after the "Discoveries", the devotees of the nobu visited the Oura Cathedral. Residents of both settlements were escorted to Hirado and tortured. In 1873 (Meiji 6), when released from persecution, wooden churches were created in each of Funamori and Nonomashi, and in 1908 (1908), a brick Nonomashi Church (now the former Nonomashi Church) was completed. Although depopulation continued after the war and the island was now an uninhabited island, it is possible to catch a glimpse of the life of the hidden Christians at the site of the Nosakumori settlement and the former Nosakumori church. Be sure to contact the Oka Island Tourism Association in advance to Nozaki Island, and stop by the Nozaki Island Visitor Center after landing.

A simple accommodation facility that reuses the wooden school building of the closed Ogura Elementary and Junior High School Nozaki branch school in 1985. The location is about a 1 minute walk to the former Nosaku Church and the white sand Nosaku coast. It is equipped with accommodation rooms, toilets, bathrooms, cooking buildings, tent sites, etc., making it a good place for children's camps and school trips, and there are many individual travelers. Meals are self-catering for both accommodation and day trips, and an outdoor rice cooker, a cooking room in the facility, and a shower can be used for day trips. Both day trip and accommodation required reservation at 7 days in advance. Also lending fishing rods and BBQ sets in advance booking. Accommodation is from 3780 yen per person per night.
