The brewery on Yoron Island, the southernmost point of Kagoshima Prefecture, is Arimura Sake Brewery. Yoron Island is a small southern island that is warm year-round, formed by the uplift of coral reefs. The island's fathers have a favorite, the island shochu "Shima Arisen," which is essential for the drinking ritual "Yoron Kenpo" to entertain guests. This shochu, with its faint sweet aroma of brown sugar and refreshing taste, is truly a gift from the southern island. The kiln opened by ceramic artist Sachiko Yamada. "Yunnu A-duru-yaki" means Yoron red clay pottery in the island's language. This pottery is particular about the island's climate, using red clay, sugarcane, palm trees, banyan trees, coral, and seaweed in the glaze, utilizing the island's natural resources.
