A tea house located deep within the grounds of Tenmangu Shrine. The specialty, Umegae Mochi, is a Daizaifu delicacy made by wrapping sweet red bean paste in a dough made from a mixture of glutinous rice and non-glutinous rice, then baked in a mold. It is said to have originated from the act of offering rice cakes on a plum branch to comfort Sugawara no Michizane, who was exiled from the capital. Matcha set (includes 1 Umegae Mochi) 600 yen.
