Ryūgo-cho is located in the northern part of Amami Ōshima and is attractive for its highly transparent sea and mangrove forests. It is a healing town where history and nature coexist where you can meet with the traditional craft of Amami, Oshima-psuki, and subtropical flora and fauna.
