Koyasan Okunoin is a place where Hiroho Daishi (Kukai), who has been handed down the Shingon Esoterism to Japan, is entering into a prayer ceremony for the realization of the land of Miyo. From the belief that if you sleep at the knees of the great master, everyone can be a Buddha, Okunoin is lined with more than hundreds of thousands of tombs and memorial towers, including famous people in history, As a place of Bodhisattva in Japan, it roars its name across the country. Masami Mikage is the day when the great master was admitted. A puja will be executed at the Okunoin Lantern Hall at 9 o'clock.

It was opened by Kōhō Daishi Kōkai in the year of Hirohito 7 (816) with the royal charter of Kōyama Kōjō from Emperor Saga, and as the root dojo of Shingon Esoterism.
