
Cold midget festival
"Kanaka Misogi", a traditional ritual representing the town of Kikonai, which has been transmitted to the Saogawa Shrine since 1831. It is a ritual in which four trainees pray for a good harvest and great fishing, and four trainees perform water on two nights from the 13th to purify their bodies, and on the 15th they hold four sacred bodies and dive into the extremely cold Tsugaru Strait to wash and clean.
