It is performed annually during the winter season on the Watarase Gorge-do Road, which connects the Watarase Station in Ashio, Nikko City, along the Watarase Valley from Kiryu Station in Gunma Prefecture. On all 17 station buildings and platforms, about 10,000 pieces of electricity at each station are installed by local people and lit from 17:00 until the last train. At night, when it is dark, the car windows become bright when they arrive at the station, and the thoughts of people along the line are transmitted. The line was laid for the purpose of transporting ore from Asuo Kozan, and platforms such as Daesan Station and Kobe Station, as well as several iron bridges, are used from the beginning of the opening, and are registered as national registered tangible cultural property.
