Takiyama Valley Red Leaf Festival

The festival of the priesthood of the faith as Ichinomiya of the country of Iga since ancient times. A legal service in memory of Matsuo Basho. From 1694 (1694), "Shigure Ani" has been held every year on October 12, the anniversary of Basho's death, but was established as the "Basho Festival" in 1947. It has become Iga Ueno's autumn style poetry, including a ceremony, a national haiku competition, and a special exhibition at the Basho-Okina Memorial Hall.
