
Onkoku Shrine Annual Festival
The festival of the priesthood of the faith as Ichinomiya of the country of Iga since ancient times. It is a festival that is known locally as "Onmatsuri", and is known for its "Shishi Kagura", which is dedicated in the precinct on December 5 every year to pray for a good harvest of five grains and a family safety. This lion kagura is considered to be the prototype of the lion kagura held in various places in Iga, and is designated as an intangible folk cultural property of Mie Prefecture. It is also dedicated at the first festival of the lion Kagura dance festival on January 3 and the lion Kagura dance festival on April 17.
