The "Hyakatan" (Hyakatan) is a traditional event in Oritate Onsen that continues from the early Edo period. It is performed by praying for "Inari Daimyojin" for a disease-free disaster and a good harvest of five grains. The surrounding snowy mountains rise fantastically to the light of the 108 straw that line the ridge, inviting them to a mysterious world. A snow stage is set up in the square every year, and there is a song show, a local sake, a sweet sake service, a freshly made rice cake of the specialty "6 people", and fireworks are also launched. * In 2025, the contents may be changed depending on the situation (inquiry required). An event to be carried out in conjunction with the thaw and cherry blossoms in April. With an appreciation for nature, they hold mini-events such as citizens and picking up trash in the park, the behavior of kenchin soup, opening a store, and a walking mini-tour of the park area and Mount Komamiyama.
