The "Jindaiji Daruma-shi", which began around the middle of the Edo period, is also famous as the "Japan's Three Great Daruma-shi", and the precinct is filled with 300-odd Daruma-ya and other stores, and is crowded with about 100,000 attendees. In the "eye place" of the former three major master temple, the monk puts the eyes of the daruma, but put the letter "A", which means the beginning of things, in the left eye of the new daruma, there is a unique practice of Jindai-ji, in which the word "Unn", which means the fulfillment of things, is put in the right eye of the Daruma of the land where the wish has been granted, and it is delivered to the temple with gratitude. The climax is the glittering "Okuri Procession" of the Heian Emaki, which is executed from 14 o'clock each day. Image courtesy: Jindai Temple
