A festival to pray for a disease-free disaster in the village, a good harvest. Around 9 o'clock, a kamma "dramma" decorated with five colored cloths and futons milled around the district and headed for the shrine. 小山市のほぼ中心を流れる清流思川を会場に開催される。関東有数の規模を誇る花火大会で、令和6年（2024）で72回目を迎える。打ち上げ場所と観覧席が非常に近く、尺玉の連続打ち上げやワイドスターマインをはじめ、市民参加のナイアガラ瀑布など、迫力ある花火が体感できるのが魅力。花火大会の前日には、盆踊りとマルシェが楽しめる「盆踊りマルシェ」が開催される予定。

間々田八幡宮に若葉が繁る頃、江戸時代から続く奇祭「じゃがまいた」が行われる。田植えを前にして五穀豊穣と疫病退散を祈願するお祭りで、全長15mを超える7体の蛇（じゃ）が境内を練り歩く姿は圧巻。祭りのみどころは神池の水を蛇に飲ませる「水呑の儀」で、なかには勢い余って担ぎ手もろとも池に飛び込む蛇もあり、激しい水しぶきが上がるたびに観客から大きな拍手と歓声が沸く。夕刻近くに行われる勇壮な「蛇もみ」も必見。 画像提供：間々田八幡宮
