Great Head Festival
The Shinjō festival is presided over by a person called Heitjin, who was chosen from Ujiko. There are more than 400 years of history and tradition just to go on record. A festive treasure boat is added to the kneading procession from Sinomori to the shrine, and a lucky charm is served to the visitors along the road. It has become the national selection intangible folk cultural property. Image courtesy of Takemisuitachi Shrine Office
