Omaki boat down the city of water

The city of Ogaki is the place of Musubi where the poet Matsuo Basho completed his journey on the Oku no Hosomichi. The Basho Festival is held during the blooming period of the cherry blossoms, and has a variety of events, including a boat descent (paid) that slowly travels the outer moat of Ogaki Castle, about 1.1km along the Suimon River, and a citizen haiku festival. There will also be an exhibition of exchange products from the city related to the Kimono Garden, the Ogaki Great Tea Party and Oku no Hosomichi. * It may change depending on the situation.

Akasaka flourished as a post town on the Nakasendo road connecting Edo to Kyoto. At the end of the Edo period, the Imperial Lady of the Imperial Family passed this Nakasendo in a large procession with a total of over 7800 people, and was then surrendered to the Tokugawa 14th Shōgun Iemo. The "Nakasendo Akasaka-juku Matsuri" is a combination of the two Himemiya processions, who were married to successive generals, centered on the Princess Wamiya procession.

A fireworks display sponsored by Gifu Shinnsha and Gifu Broadcasting.
