On the north side of the HQ Peninsula, the site of a Liangguo mountain castle surrounded by green mountains. With a size of about 7.9ha, it boasts a scale comparable to Shuri Castle, and was once described as one of the most famous castles in Okinawa, an impregnable area. During the Sanzan period (14th to 15th centuries), when the three forces of Nanzan, Nakayama, and Kitayama were in conflict on Okinawa, Kitayama King, who had ruled the northern area, became a castle for three generations, and the complex walls of the city now leave behind. In front of the entrance to the castle site, there is the Nakijin Village History and Culture Center (time: 8-18 o'clock, May-August-19 o'clock, no holidays), which introduces the history and culture of people who have lived in Nakijin Castle and around the village.
