A vista spot near the top of Mount Gotai at an altitude of 146m in the eastern part of Kochi City. 桂浜をのぞむ丘にあった浦戸城。本山氏が築き、のちに長宗我部元親が居城とした。三方が海に面し、敵からの守りは万全だった。

竜頭岬の小高い丘の上にあり、はるか太平洋を見据える龍馬の銅像。昭和3年(1928)に完成したもので、和服姿に懐手をしてブーツといういでたちで堂々と立つ。像の高さは台座を含め約13.5m。
