Ship's azalea park

Around the area near the peak of Mt. Koetsu, about 1200 strains of azaleas grow, and are designated as a national natural monument as an onazaleas community in Funakubo. The entire surface of the mountain is stained red from mid-May to late May.

Fujiidera

The temple, where the main temple stands with a deep mountain on its back, is enshrined as the main statue of the Yakushi Nyorai, carved by Hiroho Daishi to remove his evils when he was 42 years old. High-opened masonry

吉野川の支流川田川の中流にあり、周囲は水田も少なくカワニナなどほたるの幼虫の餌が豊富。緑泥片岩からなる美しい山合いの清流に、ほたるが多数発生する。観賞できる種類はゲンジボタル、ヘイケボタル、ヒメボタル、オオマドホタル、オバボタル。村をあげて保護運動を行っている。

Egawa Spring Source

夏は冷たく10℃前後、冬は暖かく20℃以上になるという異常水温現象で県の天然記念物に指定されている江川の湧水源。水温が変化する原因は諸説あるが今もって謎のまま。冬には水温と気温の温度差で湯気が発生する不思議な光景が見られるかも。全国名水百選にも選出されている。
