Manabe Island

In the old days, the island was also used as a location for movies such as "Setouchi Shonen Baseball Team", which was also chanted by the song "Yamakeishushu" by Seiki Seiki. A number of historical sites remain along the promenade maintained on the island, including the ruins of Manabe Castle and "Marudosama", a stone treasure tower from the Heian period. At the Manabe Island Bathing Beach on the south side of the island, you can watch sea fireflies on a good night in May-September. Mikoshi is a 300-year-old festival that takes place in early May, and the island is coming to life.

Shiraishi Island

The beautiful natural landscape has been chanted by waka since the Heian period, and the entire island has been designated as a Meishatsu. There are many places to see on the hiking trails around the island, such as the Kailong-ji temple in the area related to the Kobo Daishi, and the rock of rock and armor (natural monuments). The Takayama Observation Deck overlooks the likes of Oyama and Mount Ishijima in Shikoku, making it one of the best view points of the Bizan Seto. The "Shiraishi Dance", which has been designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of the country, is also famous.

Kitagishima

The largest island in the Kasaoka Islands. It is famous as a place of granite called Kitagishi, which sent out a large amount of stones at the time of the Ōsaka Castle. The "Kitagishima no Shed Chick", which takes place on the Ōura coast around March 3 in the lunar calendar, is an event for women wishing to be sick and free.

Around eight locations in Kamishima

It was a tour of 88 places in Shikoku, and has been going on since the mid-Edo period. Kamishima, which is continuous through reclamation, is one of the three Setouchi great sacred places, which line up with Shōsushima and Ōsushima. The course, with a total length of about 29km, which runs around the entire area of Kamishima, is standard for two days and a night on foot. Pilgrimage by car is also possible (some are not possible).

Kasaoka City Takezao Museum of Art

The museum contains about 3500 pieces, mainly works by Taketoshi Ono, a Japanese painter from the city of Kasaoka who received the Order of Culture. Many of Takesato's works are based on the nature and everyday landscapes of the villages such as the Seto Inland Sea, and among them, "Ishima Nikusaku", which depicts the gentle view of Kamishima, is a great look. It also houses modern Japanese paintings from Kyoto and Okayama, and also holds special exhibitions several times a year. Take one hour.

Kasaoka Municipal Horseshoe Crab Museum

Inside the horseshoe crab-shaped dome, there is an exhibition of the horseshoe crab's house and materials, as well as an easy-to-understand introduction of its evolution and ecology in the video. In fact, swimming in the water tank can also be observed. Near the museum, the horseshoe crab breeding ground of the Kamishima [Konoshima] water supply is designated as a national natural monument. In the adjacent dinosaur park, eight full-scale dinosaur models such as Tyrannosaurus are popular. Take one hour.

Osaka Pond

About 600 Yoshino cherry trees and yaezakra have been planted on the lakeside promenade of the Osaka Pond, which is crowded with tourists when it is in full bloom.

Shibakawa swimming beach

The shoreline of Shirasuna Aomatsu is as long as about 1km, and is one of the best swimming beaches in western Japan, which was also selected as "Japan's Nagisa Hyakushiki" and "Ky Baekba Hyakushiki". The emerald green shining sea spreads all over, and you can see the full view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge on a good day. Tourist facilities such as the Shibakawa Marine Aquarium, the Toy Kingdom, the Shibakawa Animal Park, and the Oji-gatake Park Center are gathered around the area, and you can play for a day.

Shibakawa Marine Aquarium (Tamano Marine Museum)

It is a large water tank with a water volume of 50 tons, including a large water tank with a water volume of 34 large and small, and has raised and exhibited 2000 animals of about 180 species from the northern sea to the tropical sea, mainly fish from the coast of the Seto Inland Sea. In addition to a powerful whale skeleton specimen, there is a touching tide pool outdoors and a turtle pond where you can feed sea turtles (summer and autumn only).

Shibakawa Animal Park

An animal park where you can interact with about 80 species and 600 animals in Noyama. "Animal Nursery" where you can feed rabbits, chavos and turkeys, and a pony-riding horse for 500 yen ~ walk with the dog of the facility 1700 yen.
