At an altitude of 1415m, the prefecture's highest peak, Mount Chausu, is located on the prefectural border between Aichi and Nagano prefectures. In the Chausuyama plateau that spreads on the mountainside, you can enjoy the outdoors throughout the four seasons in the atmosphere of a plateau that is rare in Aichi Prefecture. There are lodges, restaurants, campsites, and vacation villages, and you can enjoy boating (1000 yen for 20 minutes) and go-karts (500 yen) in Yabasu Pond. There are many plateau roads full of nature, perfect for driving. During the winter season, the Chaususuyama Kogen Ski Resort is open, and it is crowded with many skiers.
